On Logistics When Contemporary Domestic Army Fighting Broad Based On The Theory Of "Taking Advantages Of Our Enemy's Food" From Art Of War By Sun Tzu

In this paper, based on the knowledge of economics, military science, management, political science, sociology, law and some other areas, I point out the disadvantages of the theory of"taking advantages of our enemy's food"from Art of War by Sun Tzu and against the disadvantages, I give some advices and countermeasures on how our army logistics can do well when fighting abroad. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, this paper is divided into three sections:The introduction part mainly elaborates the value of the chosen topic and methodology. The first part explains and evaluates the theory of"taking advantages of enemy's food". Firstly, it introduces the status of Art of War in military and non-military areas from ancient time till now and the meaning of"taking advantages of our enemy's food "theory. Secondly, it points out the historical value of"taking advantages of our enemy's food ". Lastly, it makes a research on the disadvantages of pursuing this theory in the present age from economic, political, social and military views.The second part is basic theories of our contemporary army logistics when fighting abroad. At first, it discusses the army logistics theories which define the concept of army logistics. It also gives an introduction on the development of foreign and domestic army logistics theories. Moreover, it analyzes the possibility of military operations abroad from aspects of the protection of overseas economic interests, the international obligations as a great country and military action itself.The third part, based on the disadvantages of"taking advantages of enemy's food ", it suggests some specific strategies on how our army logistics can do well when fighting abroad. Firstly, it analyzes the vicars of national economic resources and gives measures for raising the capability of mobilizing national economy, from the point of view of raising the changing speed from peacetime to war. Secondly, from the perspective of strengthening management, it defines the military and economic benefit-cost ratio concept, and proposes measures of increasing military and economic benefit-cost ratio. Thirdly, from the perspective of information security, it points out the importance of information to the war, and gives the measures of strengthening information of army logistics. Fourthly, it points out the significance and gives main measures of strengthening multinational cooperation through the idea of using local resources conveniently. Fifthly, from the perspective of the rule of law, it points out that, in order to improve our military logistics support capability when fighting abroad, the fundamental guarantee is the rule of law. It proposes key measures to carry out the rule of law rigorously.The conclusion part summarizes the main points. In this paper, the innovation lies in: (1) It exposes the disadvantages of the theory of"taking advantages of our enemy's food"from Art of War by Sun Tzu and takes measures to made up the disadvantage. It changes the common positive attitudes in the research of Art of Army by Sun Tzu held by people in homeland and other countries. From the angle of reflecting the theory of"taking advantages of our enemy's food", it gives some countermeasures on how our army logistics can do well when fighting abroad through the analysis on the disadvantages of this theory. (2) It combines the theory with our army logistics when fighting abroad. Previously, the scope of the study mainly exists in the areas of the military commanding, political strategies, business management, business battles ingenuity, diplomacy, intelligence acquisition, etc. None of the researches has ever combined the theory with our army logistics when fighting abroad which this paper is discussing. (3) It studies the army logistics from the angle of the rule of law. In the past, researches on army logistics remain in a more general way and they at best discuss mechanism problems, which seldom research it from the angle of the rule of law. This paper not only discusses in a general way, but also has a research from the point of view of rule of law. The enlighten of"moral"is necessary, while the consolidation of"law"is more important which provides security for our army logistics when fighting abroad and creates a solid material foundation for wining overseas battles when necessary.
