The German Greens rose in the 1980s.In the short time the Greens went through the evolution of the protest party-- Parliament party--the party in power and it has become a very important political strength on current Germany political circles. The Green political values, policies and views of the green party are distinct and have progressive meanings. There are two reasons for German Greens to rise.Firstly, the background factor includes three aspects.New Society Movement is the "cradle" that Greens emerged; the electoral system of Germany multi-party system is the system foundation that green party survives;the German reunification has offered the historical opportunity for strengthening the green party.Secondly, the subjective factor includes three aspects too.The fresh image;the unique institutional framework and the flexibility of values be bound with principles;the cooperative tactics of political party makes Social Democratic Party and German Greens have possibility and certainty for cooperation. The rise of the German Greens has changed the traditional pattern of political party in Germany partly and impelled traditional political parties to be "green" one after another. It has produced greater influence on Germany's national environmental policy, woman policy, immigration policy and the rise has influenced the foreign policy of Germany since 1990s to a certain extent.
