This thesis researches the condition and competition on Trans-Caucasia between America and Russia and analyses and expects the developing tendency of their competition. Some questions should be solved in the thesis: who is competing? What is competed? Why are they competing? What is the appearance of the competition? What periodic outcomes have been made? What changes and development of the competition will have in the future? This analysis will go with three facets as follows:First, analyze the subject and object of competition on Trans-Caucasia between America and Russia. The targets are certainly three Trans-Caucasia nations which contain Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. Many competitors have been contracted to Trans-Caucasia. And the most powerful of them are America and Russia, whose competitions are also the most severe. At present, America and Russia take great part in the affairs of Trans-Caucasia. Their competitions are the major controversy in the Trans-Caucasia region.Second, analyze the causes of competition. Why do both America and Russia want to capture the Trans-Caucasia? Because the geo-positions of three Trans-Caucasia nations are the key to control the right to The Caspian Sea oil resources. But they can only become objects competed the great powers for their weak economic and military power.Third, analyze the presentations and conditions of the competition. This thesis will illustrate what strategic intentions and policies America and Russia have and how to compete the control rights to the Trans-Caucasia from politic, economic and military aspects.Finally, the development tendency of their competition is expected chiefly at the basis of the present traditions of the competition on Trans-Caucasia between America and Russia analyzed and remarked.
