The international society has been changing greatly after World War 2, and the reform of Security Council is extremely urgent. India actively support Security Council reform and consider a permanent membership of UNSC as the central goal of its strategy of big power. India has been developing fast after cold war and the governments have maken many efforts to bid for the permanent membership of Security Council. India's bid for permanent membership of Security Council brings great effects on not only the redistribution of power but also the international pattern in future.This dissertation elaborates the reform of Security Council, reasons, restrictive factors and prospects on the application for permanent membership. This dissertation also elaborates the sophisticated concerns between India and P-5 countries, the mixed attitudes of P-5countries on India's bid according to their own interests and the drastic competitions of interests among Germany, Japan, Brazil and other interest eliques;This dissertation particularly analyzes the hotly scramble for the determinative power on international affairs between India and P-5 countries, and the inevitable conflicts of each country for their own interests and power on UNSC reform; Finally, the conclusion can be drawn that the essence of India's bid is of redistribution of power and interests on UNSC reform between many new powers such as India and P-5 countries.
