Based on the analysis about legal education in Guangdong during the period of late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China, this paper makes an overall review in the generation and development. In this way, it clarifies the characteristics, role and limitations about legal education in Guangdong of such special time. It can be divided into three parts. Firstly, the generation and development are introduced, and then the operation state of Guangdong law and politics school is placed a emphases on. Secondly, the process of development is described. The operation and the potential changes are also analyzed. Finally, the paper makes a comment and analyzes the feature in the period of late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China, to review the historical role and limitations. The paper is holding the idea that law education in Guangdong has some epochal and regional characteristics. It started early and developed fast, meanwhile state- owned and privately owned school existed at the same time. So law education at that time brought up a new kind of legal talent and also propagandized law knowledge. What's more, change of Guangdong was moved on. Therefore, because of the unstable society, lach of money and the wrong policy of running school, legal education in Guangdong during the period of late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China had no more development.
