A Comparative Study On Chinese-American Political Participation Between Los Angels And New York

By using the theory of political participation and from the perspective of the municipal level of political participation, this paper compares the similarities and differences between two Chinese-American communities: Los Angeles county and New York county in registering to vote, running for office and the Chinese political organizations and activities. This paper will focus on analysing the economic and social level factors advocated by the political-actionlism, hoping to clarify the interaction between the political system of the United States and the Chinese-American political participation, to understand how Chinese-American will go further into the American political life.
