The Theory Critique Of UK-US New Left To Rawls Just Principle

What is justice,what is the just standard,how to realize the social justice,this is the question which people consider unceasingly for thousands of years.With the development of the times and the chang of the social contradictory, people hold the different opinions about the reply to the justice. Marx believe that it is only the human liberation from the machine'attachment, the establishment of a society which provides a public ownership of the production,the distribution of the subsistence according to work ,the promotion of the person'comprehensive free development ,the communist society which the distribution implements according to need , that can reach the justice completely . Juctice , which the American famous politics philosophier John·Rawls writes in the 1970s , propose two just principles in contemporary numberous just theories . It initiates about the lasting debate about the question and impells the human to enter a deeper level and boundary to the social justice. Rawls proposes two justice principles, one is free principle and the other is difference principle. These two principles correspond the two major pants of the social basic structure. The first principle refers to the domain of the citizen' political right and duty. Its center is to establish and safeguard citizen' equality and freedom. The second principle involves social and economic interest distribution. Its center is to safeguard the weaks' benefit according to the establishment of one reasonable society and economic system. Rawls attempts to differentiate these two domains so as to compromise freedom and equality which is debated unceasingly in the western politics theory.The New Left is Marxism school of thought which is famous in the contemporay west. They are famous in the educational circles for the deeply thought, the wide—research question and the characteristic distinctively in the world Marxism camp. They criticize the just principles which is proposed by Rawls from the different view-point. A.E Buchanan, Nielsen and G.A Henry are the representative character in the justice theory and proposed just theory selfly. Nielsen, as a radical leveller, criticize Rawls'equality principle and believed that it falls to realize the equality because of its self-contradictory. Henry, as a representative personage in analyzing Marxism, placing the critic on the basis of Rawls'justice principle, namely self-owner principle, have further criticized the process which the Rawls' theory produce.This article research their equality and justice through analyzing the opinions which the three New Left representative personage hold from the Rawls' justice theory. It aims to study the just development according to the new left theory's analysis, then provides beneficial model for understanding Marx's just view correctly.
