Police education career has fulfilled many prominent achievements in recent years, however, with the development of our country's politics, economics and great changes occurred in society, our country's whole public security situation is going towards a more complicated direction and the problem of the power of police staff is becoming more striking. Various problems occurred in our public security work. Just as the mass comments on policemen that"not persuasive enough, not run fast enough, not strong enough."Moreover, like the serious matters of the rate of death and injured maintain is high, although these matters appeared have other reasons, it leads us to doubt the rightness of the positioning and training mode of our country's education on public security. The institute of public police education is set up in 1980s. It is an important part of public security education, shoulders the duties of nourishing the specialized talents. All of those reasons make the change and reform of education systems on public security train an urgent task. Make the training of the public security suit better for the new change and new require of our society development, is a major question of our public education. And among of that present an important issue that is the orientation and pattern of public security higher education. Furthermore, the reality of our public security quality show the issue that the accurate orientation and restructure the pattern of training mode of public security talents also have further discuss and deal with it. This thesis uses the means of analyzing the literate to make a scientific analysis concerning on the positioning and training mode of police training. On one hand by analyzing the performances of warps of positioning and the reasons results to those reasons, we try to make a repositioning of the police training education. On the other hand, make a deep pondering on the problems protruding from the training mode in order to make a brand new training mode. Four parts are included in this thesis:The first part: Introduction. Introduce the aim and meaning of study on police education, the review of the present information and the study method and thinking.The second part: Define the orientation of higher police education and connotation of talents training mode. In orientation, this dissertation points out the significant meaning of the accurate definition of higher security education, the further analysis of connotation, and the principle of orientation should obey. In the mode of training police talents the writer puts forward his perspective by collecting and analyzing domestic scholars'definition of its connotation and analyzes the pattern of cultivating public security talents.The third part: Discuss the orientation of public security higher education; first point out the deviation of orientation, then analyze the reasons of deviation; in the end, renovate the orientation of public security higher education.The forth part: restructure the pattern of training mode of public security talents. Through the analyzing the reasons of the existing question point that the present pattern of training talents should be reformed in no time and put forward the new type of training talents.In conclusion: Nowadays a great many problems existing in public security higher colleges lie in inaccurate orientation and mode of training talents by analyzing the orientation of public security higher education and the mode of training talents systematically. Therefore, for the educationists the significant task is to study the orientation of public security higher education and the mode of public security talents.
