Research On The Problems And Improvement Strategies Of The Training Mode Of Talents From The Public Security Colleges In China

Nowadays, it is our important task to maintain the harmony of our society and to create a good environment for the social development, and the task won't be completed without the public security organ. Meanwhile, cultivating the high-quality security talents depends on deeply how to set up the training mode of talents conforming to the new situation through the police higher education. After setting up the mode, it lays the solid foundation for building.a new police team characterized by serving for the public and enforcing the law for the people. Therefore, it becomes an essential and urgent subject for adjusting the target of training of police talents, intensifying reform and innovation of the training mode of talent and cultivating the new and high-quality police talents at present and in the near future.This paper focuses on the present circumstances, takes the methods in the theory and in the practice, analyses the problems in the training mode of talents from the 15 public security colleges and explores the elements of it. Finally, it puts forward the strategies of training mode of talents in the new era through which the paper not only enriches the study of theory but also guides the practice in the public security academies.The paper firstly focuses on the conceptions of training mode of talents and training mode of talents in police colleges. On basis of these, it summarizes the six elements of training mode of talents in police colleges, including the target of training, setting up of professions, system of courses, channels of cultivation, team of teachers, mechanism of evaluation, which becomes the three theory stone of the establishing the training mode of police talents in the new era. Through investigation, the paper compiled some questionnaires and made interviews for the staff who are engaged in teaching and admissions. From them, we not only acquired conditions of training mode of talents in police colleges in the six angles, but also discovered some problems of it.e.g. singleness and confusion of the purpose of cultivation, lacking of characteristics and arguments of professions, unimprovement of the curriculum system, taking more importance to the form of practice than how to practice and when to practice, meeting no satisfaction of construction of team of teachers, imperfection of evaluation mechanism. Based on the problems of training mode of talents from the public security colleges and combining the elements with the theories of it in the new era, the author tries to improve the six strategies of training mode of talents from the public security colleges inclusive of establishing the target system of training of talents featured of the security organ; setting up the professional mechanism oriented to serving the police affairs; strengthening construction of curriculum system; paying more attention to the process and effect of the practice; improving the mechanism of the whole evaluation of police talents.
