At present,China's social development is in a critical transition period,and social security risks are increasing.Whether public security intelligence can fully play its role in safeguarding national security and social stability,cracking down on illegal crimes and serving social and economic development depends on whether there is support from a high-quality public security intelligence team.The cultivation of public security intelligence personnel to serve the practice of public security intelligence is the goal of public security intelligence education.However,at present,the research results of public security intelligence education in China are few and scattered,and it is difficult to comprehensively and systematically train high-quality public security intelligence personnel.The United States has carried out intelligence education for more than 80 years and is very mature in terms of educational philosophy,curriculum,and teaching methods.In this regard,in addition to strengthening the research of domestic public security intelligence education from the practice of public security intelligence education,we should also learn from the experience of the development of intelligence education in the United States,sum up the law of the development of intelligence education,and provide reference for the development of public security intelligence education.By searching the electronic database of CNKI,Bing Academic,National Digital Library of China and browsing the official website of American universities,we collect research results related to US intelligence education and detailed information on intelligence degree programs and courses.Starting from the substantive elements and the procedural elements,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the educational philosophy,training objectives,and curriculum content of American colleges and universities,and puts forward feasible suggestions for the actual situation of public security intelligence education.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research significance,research content,research methods and research summary at home and abroad,and defines the core concepts.The second part introduces the basic educational philosophy and the background that influence the formation of educational philosophy,summarizes the training objectives of colleges and universities,and analyzes the characteristics of college training objectives.The third part summarizes the description of the collected course content,extracts the knowledge distribution of university intelligence education and classifies it.The fourth part mainly introduces the general situation of American intelligence teaching,including the design of teaching methods,the basic conditions of teaching and the certification and evaluation of courses.The fifth part analyzes the status quo of public security intelligence education in China,points out the problems existing in it,and finally settles on the enlightenment of American security and law enforcement intelligence education on public security intelligence education,including changing educational philosophy,optimizing curriculum and improving education guarantee.
