Research Into The Social Security Issue Of Peasant Workers

The social security issue of peasant workers is one of the problems, which should be thought and solved in building the harmonious society. Solving the problem of the social security of peasant workers is the inner requirement in carrying out the outlook on scientific development and building harmonious society, and also the demand of perfecting the socialist market economy system. Solving it will contribute to promoting the process of our urbanization and improving our urbanization level. The author also believes that providing peasant workers with relevant social security will help enhance their master consciousness and sense of belongingness, increase their organization and discipline. Besides, it will carry forward their traditional virtue of diligence and honesty, then foster their new spiritual style, and integrate peasant workers with city workers in conception and behavior.The social security issue of peasant workers is mainly presented in two sides, which are the lack and poor implement of social security system. Firstly the article starts from the special development process of the industrialization of our country, analyzing the deeper cause that results in the social security issue of peasant workers, which is our urbanization falls behind the industrialization. Secondly, it points out that the lack of fund is the direct reason. Thirdly, it analyzes the problems on the perspectives of residence system, the inapplicability of the city social security and the imperfectness of legal system. Lastly, it explains from the level of thought and concept, and concludes the causes resulting in the present situation of peasant workers in social security.The author cites the theory of Lewisian Turning Point ,thinks that it is necessary to strengthen the protection of labors.To solve the social security problem of peasant workers, it is needed to set up a social security system fitting for peasant workers. The article makes some suggestions in setting up the frame of peasant workers'social security system, which can be concluded as following: integrating new rural cooperative medical system with peasant workers'job injury and medical insurance; bringing peasant workers into social assistance system in town by"public working"; building endowment insurance fitting for peasant workers; making peasant workers enjoy social welfare that mainly are provided them with necessary labor protection and bringing them into human resource management of enterprises. In the end, the settlement of the social security problem of peasant workers calls for the support of social environment.
