Study On The Thought Of Nielsen's Justice

Justice is a topic which has a long history and develops with the times.Since Plato, Aristotle,humans have been keeping probing into justice.In the studies of justice,the theories of liberalism put forward by Rawls,Nozik et al.were well known to all,but the theories of Marxism were not,such as the Nielsen's theory of justice.As we know, Nielsen is a well-known professor in University of Calgary,Canada.His study not only is a challenge to the Rawls' theory of value in which justice is the primary theory,but also impacts the political theories and practices of the late 20^th century significantly, especially on the reformation and development of China.But there were rare researches on the Nielsen's theory and few translations yet in China.Thus,the purpose of this thesis is to introduce Nielsen's theory of justice systemically and make a comment.Nielsen's justice theory has a common origination to Rawls' justice thought,which emphasizes on reasonably distributing resource.Nowadays,we are constructing a socialism harmonious society in China in which justice is the right basis.We should pay more attention to social justice.Therefore,the study of Nielsen's justice theory has theoretical value and practical significance.This thesis is made up of five parts as follows:Partâ… :Introduction.It explains study significance,framework and methods,as well as the main views and innovation.Partâ…¡:This part retrospects the previous theory of justice briefly,including the ancient Greek justice theory,modern justice theory and present justice theory.Partâ…¢:This part expatiates on historical background and theoretical premise of Nielsen's theory of justice.Partâ…£:This part discusses the main contents of Nielsen's justice,from three aspects: class differentiation and fairness and justice,justice as equality and justice as fairness and equal justice and socialism.Partâ…¤:This part reviews Nielsen's justice,including the value and the lack of Nielsen's justice and the thinking to the practical significance of building a harmonious society in China.
