As one of the most important bilateral relations for both China and Japan, the Sino-Japanese relation plays an important role in the prosperity and stability of Asia-Pacific area and even the whole world. However, the Sino-Japanese bilateral relations have met some challenges in the recent years, which bring many instable factors to the two countries and Asia-Pacific area. In the light of "the Strategic and Mutually beneficial relations" proposed by Shinzou Abe and the consensus that reached When premier Wen Jiabao visited Japan, I would put forward some thoughts on how to build the Sino-Japanese strategic and mutually beneficial relations. As the Sino-Japanese relations are complicated, in order to help eliminating Sino-Japanese problems, we should stand on a strategic overall height instead of taking a single perspective. Through the historical inspection and analysis we can find that the Sino-Japanese relations experienced three stages: the "Honeymoon" period, the "Fluctuation" period and the "Freezing point" period. The main line implied behind the three stages is that the two countries endeavor to be powerful in their respective transformation periods. In this paper, We would take the perspective that China and Japan have made different choices for their development after World War II . To discuss on how to build the Sino-Japanese strategic and mutually beneficial relations. We also would make an elementary analysis on the written documents that were reached when chairman Hu visited Japan not long before; We would also put forward a prospect on the Sino-Japanese relations based on the Above documents. The main content of the paper consists of four parts. In the first part the reasons for the different development roads chosen by the two countries will be discussed. In the second part, we would present the reasons for the "Honeymoon" period after the normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations; we also discuss the inner complementary relationship between the above reasons and their transformation of national systems. In the third part, we promulgate the real reasons why the "Freezing Point" period takes place of the "Fluctuation" period. We claim that their different choices as for development roads lead to their benefit conflict. In the forth part, we testify the necessity to some suggestions. Based on the latest achievement obtained when chairman Hu visited Japan recently we will put forward a Preliminary prospect on the Sino-Japanese relations.
