Reflect On The Collapse Of Soviet Communist Party Through Party Value Theory

As one of the most significant events of the world in 20th century, the collapse of the Soviet Communist Party has always been concerned by academic researches. As a party reined for 70 years, why the big party lost political power in a short time, domestic and foreign scholars carried out in-depth studies from different angles, and have achieved positive results. This paper, will dedicate to deepen the study in the perspective of political values. The fundamental basis of this thesis is that every party has its own value, and political value is the core element of political party's constituent. From the perspective of value, it can not only touch on the core reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Communist Party, and deepen the study of the reasons for the collapse, but also at the same time provided foundation and rich case material for deepening the values of political parties study, including the China Communist Party.This article is case study. The overall idea is to use political values theory to study the practice the values of Soviet Communist Party. This thesis is consisted of four parts, respectively are:The first part, by combing the practice of values of Soviet Communist Party, analyzes the faults of post-Soviet values in order to explore the depth reason of the collapse of the Soviet Communist Party. Specifically, the major errors were in: the Soviet Communist Party's core values is not firm and there has been a fundamental departure from progressiveness; the Soviet Communist Party's derivative values were not concord with the core value; Soviet values ignored consolidating and expanding its mass class basis; there were mistakes and shortcomings in the propaganda of the Soviet values.The second part using basic theory and paradigm of value theory, analyzed the root causes of Soviet Communist Party's failures. I.e. the errors in the Soviet's understanding in political party, the particular socio-economic conditions, the political constraints and cultural traditions, and the leader's personal factors as well as the Western strategy of peaceful evolution. This is the innovative part of this article.Part III to explore the multiple effects of the errors in values of the Soviet Communist Party, including deny history, ultimately abandoned Marxism and socialism; policy failures in both economic and political reforms; the party's corruption, and the loss of its advanced nature and combat effectiveness; public confusion, the rise of the opposition; and finally the collapse of the Soviet Union, thus reveals the causal relationship between the values factors and the collapse of the Soviet Communist Party.Fourth, based on the above analysis, and combined with the reality of Communist Party of China, this article is to reveal the enlightenment of the fall of Soviet Communist Party, which include: the Communist Party of China must attach importance to the advanced nature of party values, and always maintain the advanced nature of values; the Communist Party of China must adhere to the development of Marxism as a guide, adhere to the values of the right direction; the construction of the Communist Party of China values must consolidate and expand the basis of proletariat's class foundation, and enhance the values of political inclusiveness and cohesion; the Communist Party of China must actively explore effective ways to disseminate values, to form a positive interaction among the party values, party members values and the social values. This Part is the focus and the realistic significance of this paper.
