The Evolving History Of Governance Style Of The Soviet Communist Party And Its Lessons

The style of governance of political party is an important factor consolidating the position of the party and strengthening the governance power. The Soviet Communist Party had been in power for 74 years from seizing the power to its callapse. There were many reasons leading to the party's callapse, among which the style of governance was an important one. The rigid governance style did not adapt to the development of economy and it transformed fundamentally at last. The thesis attempts to, from the aspect of the evolving history of the Soviet Communist Party, investigate the governance style and sum up experiences and lessons, providing references for reform and innovation of the governance style of the Communist Party.The thesis includes five parts. The first part: Lenin led the party to seize the national power. Under grim surroundings, the Soviet Communist Party established the power-centralized governance style which was apt to the wartime, meanwhile, it also resulted in a series of disadvantages. The second part: Sterlin deserted the new economy policy in the struggle with his rivals and congregated the national power to himself alone, which leaded to the contortion and rigidity of the governance style. The third part: Khrushchev's reform and adjustment did not shake the base of governance style. The fourth part: Gorbchev changed the governance style over to new ways and the Soviet Communist Party crumpled and the Soviet Union disintegrated. The fifth part: We have got a lot of lessons and experiencesfrom the evolving history of governance style of the Soviet Communist Party. The Communist Party in power must represent the interests of people and avoid bureaucracy of the party and modernize the governance style to adapt to the development of social economy.
