Study Of The College Students' Perceivment Of Sino-India Boundary Issue

The divergence and hostility between China and India in the boundary issue have badly influenced the mutual political trust as well as the economic cooperation and culture communication between two countries, which is the critical problem in Sino-India relationship.In the past 30 years, Sino-India relationship had been getting better and better, the impetus of which was the hard work of the leader groups from both sides. China and India have hoped to solve their highly concerned boundary issue through the economic cooperation. Thus the facts both governments have to face are not only the wish to develop the relationship between two countries, but also the necessary to be hostility to each other under the domestic pressure. It's very hard for both sides to decide which one to choose.In the other hand, the effects of public opinion on country's foreign policy are becoming bigger and bigger, which is especially remarkable in the Sino-India boundary issue. The absence of delimitation between two countries and the different historical control over the boundary area caused the totally different propositions of each side, which led to huge public opinion pressure during the solving process. But we still have no quantitative analyze about the public opinion on the Sino-India boundary issue and how far this opinion away from our foreign policy. This paper is based on the investigation, "the Perceive of Sino-India Boundary Issue, among college students, and aims at getting an comparative objective understanding on their attitudes and views on this issue through quantitative analyze, then helps our government make the proper policy.
