Research Of The Network Public Opinion Of Sino-india Boundary Issue

Sino-Indian border issue is a serious barrier in the development of friendly relations between China and India, which has directly resulted in a far-reaching border war between the two sides in 1962. As a network hot topic, it has a wide range of involvement and concern among Internet users, while, in contrast to people’s high attention, the domestic media didn’t give due concerns. The majority of people also don’t know the boundary issue. Research of this issue is in line with the ideological and political education. And it is also significant to purify online environment, clarify the confusion of ideas and enhance the ability to respond to public opinion and to grasp the importance of government departments.Using methods of historical research, online survey, literature research and comparative analysis on the network public opinions, we can find that many opinions are irrational, its occurrence is abrupt and intermittent. Some people have selection bias and cognitive errors in the acquisition of knowledge, and both sides of people have different levels of focus and attention. In history, the two countries’ different guiding methods have enlightenment significance for the research of network public opinion. The network public opinion situation on Sino-India boundary issue is mainly due to the lack of fully understandings on the issue, some netizens are full of doubts to national security and territorial integrity, and the public media and governments didn’t play their due role on creating good public opinion atmosphere. To standardize and guide the public opinions, we should raise the netizens’ level of awareness on the issue comprehensively. Strengthen self-discipline of individual words and deeds. Constantly enrich the content and expansion of education, and put the patriotic education into the school education comprehensively. At the same time, we should also strengthen the social organizations and government’s leading role.
