Northeastern Armored Forces During The Liberation War

Shortly after Anti-Japanese War,under the instruction of Central Military Commission, Northeastern People's Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army went all over the battle fields where Japanese Guandong Army once did battles.Eating in the wind and sleeping in the dew,even dragging and shouldering merely by man power,they searched tanks and equipments,and formed Northeastern Tank Battalion,which has laid a valuable material foundation for the establishment and development of northeastern armored forces.Immediately after the formation,Northeastern Tank Battalion mounted on the war stage and galloped Songliao Area.With fewer tanks,it battled in Suiyang, Dongning,Kaoshan Village and Dehui Town,succeeded in winning all the battles,and first made contributions for the establishment and consolidation of Northeastern Base Area,and gradually enlarged team.Later,with more tanks and armored automobiles,Northeastern War Chariot Regiment and Northeastern Armored Regiment engaged in Liaoshen Battle and Pingiin Battle,made great contributions to the liberation of Jinzhon and conquest of Tianjin.On October 1,1949,with an honor, parts of Northeastern Armored Division took part in Founding Ceremony of PRC and made a perfect end for the four years' liberation war.Based on the archives,documents,memoirs and other materials,in the order of time sequences,the paper followed the developing history of northeastern armored forces and portrayed in somewhat detail the battle history of northeastern armored forces during the Liberation War and summed up their main battle strategies and experience.
