Anthony Giddens(1938 -) Is a well-known contemporary British sociologist and political thinker,whose modernisticic ideology is unique in the Western academia. His ideology is on the basis of his social structure theory,comprehensively and profoundly reflects about the modemisticic spirit led by rationalitily spirit since the Enlightenment,And for many the modemisticic crisis(such as ecological decay or disaster,Collapse of economic growth mechanisms,Growth of totalitarian power, Nuclear conflict or large-scale warfare,etc.),this ideology is in order to seek solutions at the high modernity theory.In political practice,he is the main advocates of "The Third Way" at 90's in the mid-20th century at British,this theory is also a political degree practice.This article were made for combing Giddens' simple theory because his modemisticic ideology are the inheritance of the critical thinking of modem Western issues of concern such as Marx,Durkheim,Weber and others since the 19th century.I think that his modernity thinking involved in religious,philosophical and cultural dimension,which is inadequate.Therefore,I also set out the contemporary theory of the modemisticic thinkers such as Bell,Habermas and the others,and comprehensive survey with his Modernity thinking together.This article holds that the theme of his core modemisticic ideology is the critical reflection of the rational spirit.Giddens' modemisticic ideology cut in from the modernistic crisis or negative consequences of starting,which rooted in the rationalism of Enlightenment spirit.Thus,this article keeps eyes on this main concern of these major events in Enlightenment,on the basis,this article makes an attempt idea at to broaden the threshold of world history and puts forward a superficial suggestion for the modernistic crisis or predicament.
