Marriageable age is one of the most important constituents in old China's marriage system.The marriageable age can not only affect people healthy but also,definitely,the order of the society.Thus,government considers the marriageable age as a very important part in their political system.Historically,law on marriageable age was issued via emperor's rescript.In old China emperor's rescript can be considered as law,this is phenomenon reflects how important the marriageable age is in feudal govern system.This study will focus on China's historical lawmaking on marriageable age,using present results to briefly introduce Chinese marriageable history to find out the characteristics and model of Chinese lawmaking on marriageable age.Objectively,not all ancient Chinese lawmaking on marriageable age is trash.It is a system which is result from the social environment and custom at that time.It practices a positive role in economic development of the day.Coincidently,Chinese ancient marriageable age system is marching the law system of contemporaneous western countries in a way.In addition,it is somewhat marching modern western law system.This is another evidence show the scientific way of Chinese ancient law making on marriageable age.The current Chinese law system on marriageable age is based on the background when new China was built.At that time, population increased rapidly,the earth and population was highly unbalanced.This is similar with old China which owned few people and too much land,so the government encourages early marriage at that time.From old Chinese marriageable age system,we can find something we should learn.This can help us to solve current social problem which is caused my marriage age.
