On The Issue Of Abortion Right In America

Abortion right is one of the most controversial rights in America. The development abortion right has undergone four stages. At follow the customary law and restrictions of abortion periods, abortion right is not a conflict triggered by intense. At that time, the problem of abortion right was mainly a medical problem. After the mid-20^th century, because of the various social factors, some people begin to appeal to reform the abortion law. The campaign of pro-choice appeal to abolish the laws which limit abortion right. They insist that abortion right belong to privacy right. Government should make the law to protect abortion right. While, the campaign of pro-life appeal to protect the law which abolish or limit abortion right. They insist that people's life begin in pregnancy. In their eyes, abortion means murder and belittles social value. After Roe v. Wade case, the controversial of abortion right intensified. The problem of abortion right contains the moral and political factors. Nowadays, the dispute caused by abortion right is hard to resolve.This paper consists of preface, the text and conclusion. Preface focuses on the background and significance. Text consists of four chapters. The fist chapter describes the development of abortion right in America. There're four stages, the period of follow the customary law, the period of restrict abortion, the period of reform abortion and after the Roe v. Wade case. In the period of restrict abortion, this paper depict the Roe v. Wade case mainly. In the fourth part of fist chapter, this paper focuses on the origin, development and result of the Roe v. Wade case. The chapter2 describe the views and choice of the campaign. This campaign has two main views, respectively, are people's lives begin in pregnancy and abortion decline social value. Pro-life campaign opposes abortion right and establishes a series of organization. The chapter3 describe the views and choice of pro-choice campaign. This campaign's main views are based on the beginning of human life and the social effect of prohibition of abortion. They insist that people's life is beginning at birth. So the mother has the right to terminate the pregnancy. This campaign also establishes their organizations to support abortion right. Chapter4 describe the realization of abortion right. This part mainly discuss two problems, are the beginning of people's life and the interest of fetus. Conclusion describes the trend of the development of abortion right.
