Research On The Problem Of Human Modernization From Philosophical Perspective

For a long time, all theories and practices relevant to modernization, especially human modernization, has been debated hotly in academic field. The academic research in domestic and abroad presents different characteristics. To be concrete, the research result abroad has been testified by time, so the analysis is more concrete for the part of human in the process of modernization. While our scholars, based on absorbing and referring academic achievement from overseas, propose a series of theoretical system and practical pattern of human modernization that is adapted to the situation in China, according to the economic, political and cultural atmosphere that is peculiar in China, and lastly forming our unique characteristic.There are six parts in this thesis. They are introduction, analyzing on the domestic theoretical research of human modernization, analyzing on the theoretical research of human modernization from abroad, the connotation of modernization theory, the summary of human modernization theory and the inspiration of theory from domestic and abroad on building human modernization in China.The first part, introduction, present the research significance and methods of this thesis. And some innovative points is also proposed in this part.The second part has a general view on the current situation on this issue in domestic academic field, and lists some influential opinions.The third part critically analyses the human modernization theory of western countries through using Marxism's theory about man's all-round development. Firstly, it combs these theories from some aspects such as the developmental pattern, school, and the content, secondly, it not only points out rationality of these theories, but also analyses the limitations.The forth part introduces social modernization from three aspects. Firstly, it defines the meaning of modernization, dividing the process of modernization into two phrases; then analyses the characteristic of modernization; and lastly, summarizes the symbols of modernization.The fifth part is the theoretical basis of this paper. After elaborating the meaning, symbol and significance of the theory of human modernization, it points out that the philosophical basis of human modernization theory is Marxism's theory of man's all-round development, and believes that it is interactive between the theory of human modernization and Marxism's theory of man's all-round development, and, in the last, it has a summary for the relationship between the human modernization and social modernization.The last part illuminates inspirations of the academic researches of human modernization from domestic and abroad on building this system of our own from six aspects. They are ethos, education, science and technology, cultural soft strength and thought. The focus is on theoretical quest the possibility of realizing human modernization in China from some non-material aspects such as thought and spirits.
