Soft Power In The Process Of China's Modernization Construction,

Along with China's modernization and globalization, the impact of world modernization and international environment on China's comprehensive strength is increasing everyday. Whether China will achieve peaceful rise depends not only on its hard power, but also on its soft power. Therefore, cultivating soft power should be considered as an important means of China's breaking the paradox of rise of great powers, and as a significant indicator of measuring China's international standing and influence. Based on Nye Joseph's soft power theory, this thesis has achieved the sinicization of soft power theory under the context of globalization, modernization and localization. Meanwhile, based on resources which derive soft power and the application of the resources, and during the generative process of soft power, this thesis has analyzed the functions and impacts of political, cultural and diplomatic resources which constitute soft power, thus, according to the current situation of China's soft power, it has put forward the strategies of soft power with Chinese characteristics which are helpful to the achievement of China's peaceful rise.
