In such cases, media literacy has gradually become an extension of basic civil culture has become necessary for every modern citizens, one of the basic quality.This article first past the relevance of media literacy theory and research to do a simple review of clarifying the concept of media literacy standards, and put forward their own media literacy standards for the understanding of ways, including media consumption, media awareness, media understanding, media criticism, interactive media, the five dimensions.Measured in this dimension, this respectively in Shijiazhuang, two middle school, two high schools, two universities, nearly 600 young people conducted a survey of a sample, thus the status of young people media literacy as well as the different stages of learning of young people differences in media literacy know there is preliminary.Conclusion of the study show that the media literacy of young people there are a lot of shortcomings, be improved.including junior high school students the highest network media contact time; in the media between different groups of cognitive differences must exist on the media type and content evaluation and understanding of media technology on university students than middle school students a more comprehensive understanding of young people in shaping the attitude in general will be television or newspaper editor and host of the impact of subjective tendency; young people in the media understand that there are deviations, one of secondary school students of class of property Know there is an obvious deviation; in media awareness on critical dimensions less than the most general of the media on some of the negative foreign media content and permissive attitudes, one of the most significant secondary school students;Finally young people the level of interaction with the media is not high, the lowest secondary school students,which with their normal tasks are studying the relationship must have.Generally speaking, media literacy of university students is higher than the level of secondary school students, while a lower level of secondary education because of learning environment and experience of different media literacy is lower than university students. Especially in the media and critical understanding of both dimensions. Their understanding of media and media awareness of the negative effects far from enough. This shows that young people do very well be able to effectively use the media; the media should not objectively assess and critique. This is the development of young people are disadvantaged. Therefore, media education is imperative.On this basis, this paper, secondary school students and college students the difference between the situations of media literacy, media literacy education put forward in the process of some suggestions.
