The paper provides historic background of the relations between Cambodia and China since 1993 until present time, the current situation of Cambodia-China relations, the existing problems, positive factors that would influence the relations, and the future perspectives of both countries. The relations that I focus are on political, military and economic aspects which I think it leads to strong friendship and partners for development in the future. After doing research on the topic, it shows that Cambodia bilateral relations with China have constructed and nurtured for long time. Cambodia-China relations are mainly shaped by traditional political links, ethnic Chinese community residing in Cambodia, recent bilateral economic relations, China's dominant participation in Cambodia's economy, and Chinese financial aid to Cambodia. The increasing economic and aid relations between Cambodia and China present an opportunity of stronger economic interdependence between the two countries. Cambodia is a small economy so Cambodia relies much on China for the sources of finance and market. The good relations between Cambodia-China especially the increasing economic cooperation and integration between Cambodia and China contribute to East Asian regional integration process. Cambodia hopes China to continuously help with Cambodia's infrastructure construction, and welcomes Chinese enterprises to expand investment and build an industrial park in Cambodia. This paper also suggests some recommendations that both countries should focus on:Improving aware that the long-standing friendship between the Cambodian and the Chinese people is invaluable and should be preserved.Promoting relevant sectors and authorities in Cambodia and China can find ways to advance cooperation in a practical and effective manner.Cooperating in social and human sciences, both nations Cambodia and China should thoroughly review the achievements as well as shortcomings, and then choose the topics or issues of mutual concern for joint study, comparisons or seminars among their universities or research institutes.
