| Taishan is known as the "First Qiaoxiang" in China, and "XinNing magazine" as the first Overseas Chinese history journals is the culture of the legendary that was created by the people of Taishan.In this paper,I will use the " XinNing magazine " as the examples and statistics to describe the relationship of Taishan Qiaoxiang and overseas Chinese in the period of Reform and opening up of China. This relationship is found in donations, set up plants and tourist. Therefore, in this paper, I will discusses characteristics and its evolution of these three topics.Overseas Chinese of Taishan is an important part for the development of Philanthropy of Taishan, is a leader and role model of Philanthropy of Taishan, especially in the donation of education and healthcare business of their hometown.The action of the Overseas Chinese of Taishan greatly changed the face of their hometown, and effectively promoted economic and social development in Taishan.Not only donations, after the reform and opening up in China, overseas Chinese has more confidence of their motherland and hometown, and they actively do much investment and set up many plants there. The investment includes the areas from agriculture to services, from labor-intensive industries to technology-intensive industries. The government of Taishan also make many policies to encourage overseas Chinese to donate and invest in Taishan. Meanwhile, the overseas Chinese is affected by Chinese traditional culture, therefore, they have a very strong national pride and a strong wish to go back to the place where their father or grandfather have been lived. After reform and opening up, The Government of Taishan has also formed a delegation to go abroad, organizing summer camps or held friendship meeting of overseas Chinese to attract overseas Chinese to visit their hometowns for tourism, donation and investment. Through various channels to enhance the interaction with the overseas Chinese, Taishan and overseas Chinese become closer to each other.
