On Three Major Characteristics Of The System Of Socialist Core Values

In the 160 years of development of Marxism, the advanced nature, the national character and contemporary spirit is part of its three major characteristics, which embodies the vitality, the force and influence of the development of Marxism. As one of the latest achievements, the system of socialist core values inevitably upholds the basic theory of classical nature of Marxism, extends the basic paradigm of the theory with new development, necessarily reflects the excellent Chinese cultural traditions accompanied with some reform closely with China's national conditions, certainly conforms to the trend of the age with new elements supplemented for the classic Marxism, and answers important practical problems of Chinese society in a creative way.The system of socialist core values is that of the values of identity based on the socialist economic system, which involves economic, political, cultural and social aspects, embodies the essential attribute of the socialist ideology, guides the socialist ideological and moral construction and inspires the whole nation to make progress in spiritual strength. This paper discusses the advanced nature, the national character and contemporary spirit of the three characteristics of the system of socialist core values. From the meaning of the three major characteristics of the system of socialist core values, the relations between the three major characteristics of the system of socialist core values are discussed. The advanced nature, the national character and contemporary spirit constitute an organic unity. From the static and dynamic aspects, the relationships on the three main levels are studied. From the static point of view, the three characteristics constitute an interrelated and organic unity, in which the advanced nature is the substance, the national character is the carrier, and contemporary spirit is the basis for practice. In whole the three major characteristics reflect the nature and the character of the system of socialist core values. From the dynamic point of view, they promote and develop mutually. The national character and contemporary spirit are determined by the advanced nature. In another way, the national character strengthens the advanced nature and contemporary spirit, and contemporary spirit manifests the advanced nature and the national character. The three major characteristics combine actions to reflect the characteristics of the system of socialist core values.
