At present, the essence of Chinese People's Police is good, and the mainstream direction of their occupational ethics is correct. The police power can be trusted by the party and the people because it is loyal to the party, to the country and to the people. After a long baptism of struggle practices, the majority of the people's police has become firmer in politics and has withstood the severe test of all storms. They are always consistent with the Central Party Committee, obeying orders and commands. The majority of the people's police won the party and the masses' affirmation and praise because they always keep in mind and try to practice the goal of serving the people wholeheartedly, enforcing the law strictly and serving the people warm-heartedly. They inherit and develop revolutionary spirits of arduous struggle, sacrifice and selfless dedication. They have done a lot in maintaining social stability, attacking illegal and criminal activities and protecting public safety, etc. They have made significant contribution to ensure the smooth development of socialist modernization conduction and have made tremendous sacrifices to the country's long-term stability and the people's good and prosperous life.However, the moral outlook of some police fails to keep pace with rapid economic development at the new era of Chinese economic development with the process of reform and opening up. Some police can not stand the test of changing situation, taking the people's rights as personal resources. They hold the utilitarian value outlook, ignoring the interests of the country and the people, ignoring party's discipline and government's orders, exploiting power and becoming corrupt. They have forgotten the professional ethical requirements of "power for the people, love for the people and interests for the people".Based on"People's Police occupational ethics standard"Promulgated by Ministry of Public Security in 1994, the paper finds some problems in the construction of our country's Police Professional Ethics, such as: the restraint mechanism of the people's police's occupational ethics is not perfect; some of the people's police have serious sense of individual privileges; the People's Police Professional Ethics Education is lack of practical results, etc. Then, the paper analyses the reasons of the above problems from the aspects of historical and cultural factors, professional ethics construction mechanism and professional ethics education. At last, the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions from the principles localization, awareness raising, system perfection.
