Study On The Social Security Of Disabled People In U.S.A

Rescuing the weak and lifting up the disabled has always been the traditional Chinese virtues, Confucius's " provide for the aged ,young can develop ability,kids brought up in the right way, all the weak including: Widowers, Widows, aged without any children, Orphans and disabled can be well treated"he dream a Utopian community,China is a country with an ancient civilization, She always keep a big heart in Rescuing and lifting up the weak, and she consider the weak as her own responsibility .Thanks for her virtue and the Party ,our country improved her way in treating the disabled . Comparing with US, our social security for disabled hasn't any public insurance for disabled, leave alone the commercial insurance that provide personal income for disabled when they in hard days. This paper made an attempt to put forward some usefull advices for our China based on USA.This paper was divided into five main parts: The second chapter introduced the Federal'Social Security System for disabilities,firstly introduced the《Americans with Disabilities Act》,than introduced the employment rights for disabilities, retirement project for disabilities, the education with disabilities, workers compensation, as well as the two largest items named SSDI and SSI. The third chapter describes the California system, including California employment policy AB925 and the California State Disability Insurance. The fourth chapter introduced the private disability insurance program, including long-term disability insurance (LTD) and short-term disability insurance (STD). In the fifth chapter, the paper puts forward some advices for China based on USA,analysis the reason of lagging of the working for the disabled in our country ,and put forward the way to build a effectively social security system for disability.
