The frequently happening international crisis events over the contemporary world history demonstrate that the society seems to enter the high alert period of crisis, various "emergency status" has questioned the sustainability of world peace and national social order, and crisis combat has become the priority task for each government. With the development of electronic political work and the scaling up of netizens, the government websites have become the ideal platform for governments to release emergency information and provide emergency services because of its advantages such as authority, time efficiency, popularity, source reliability and diverse forms.Based on the massive construction and improvement of electrical political work during the "eleventh five-year plan", the emergency service, a popular and realistic topic, is chosen by this thesis with an aim to exploring the emergency service functions of government websites from the professional perspective of information management.The thesis analyzes the concepts of government websites and emergency services as well as their interrelations in the first part; the emergency services which should be provided on government websites are proposed in the body part, based on which the existing construction status of the central government website and the provincial government websites is analyzed and its deficiency is pointed out.In the part of case study, a typical case is chosen from abroad and home respectively:one is US Federal Government website and the other is Guangdong Provincial Government website. Instructive and precious experience is obtained by analyzing their construction status. In the conclusion part, based on the integrated experience of international and national government websites, some suggestions are put forward for the emergency service improvement of government websites.
