Along with the development of the global economy, the role of transnational corporations in international economic exchanges is prominent. The needs of social responsibility of transnational corporations would inevitably lead to this increase related to the establishment of international norms, and the status of transnational corporations in international law will also be changed caused by this. This paper argues that social responsibility of transnational corporations is special, this requires that the conduct of transnational corporations should be regulated by international law. Transnational corporations should obtain the status of subject of international law. At the same time, the existing the theory of subjects of international law will be impacted by this result. It is necessary to make adjustments to the existing theoretical system of subjects of international law.This study related to the theory of corporate social responsibility, will study social responsibility of transnational corporations and related regulation by combining the methods of case studies and analysis of legal texts. Transnational corporations are international in the structure and operation mechanism, thus the social responsibilities are different from the general ones. The main social responsibilities for transnational corporations including international environmental responsibilities and human rights responsibilities. There are difficulties to set up a domestic regulatory system, however, a formal international regulation need to be established. In other words, transnational corporations should obtain the status of subject of international law.At the same time, it is necessary to make adjustments to the existing theoretical system of subjects of international law. This study suggests that the standard to determine the status of subject of international law should be more flexible and the needs of the national and social factors should also be considered. The differences between subjects of international law should existed. The scope of the rights and obligations of subjects of international law should also meet the needs of society. The increased needs of the social responsibility of transnational corporations and affirmed the status of transnational corporations of subject of international law can prove that the impact of state's will and social needs to obtain the status of subject of international law...
