At present Student Sports Association is an important part of student organizations in college. This is one important form of students participating in extracurricular activities. The development and popularity Student Sports Association can rich extracurricular, enhance their physical and foster the promotion of lifelong sports. In this study, some colleges and universities in Southwest of Shandong Province are the research objects, using a combination of interviews, questionnaires, literature, mathematical statistics and logical analysis. I investigated and analyses that Southwest Region on the size of the type of university sports associations, personnel, features activities, internal and external forms of management status. Then I draw the appropriate conclusions, and proposed countermeasures.The results show that universities in the Southwest of Shandong Province lack enough types of sports community, and the content to carry out mainly basic to the traditional projects,less involved in the emerging forms of activities; The makeup of Sports Association is unbalanced, which is Specifically expressed in the large proportion of lower grade students and boys etc; Associations do not pay enough attention to the publicity of themselves leading to the low reputation and influence,despite many good sports club activities on campus. as not enough support for sports associations from school and its own reason, almost all sports associations are insufficient in funds and equipments, which have been seriously affecting the development of sports associations; The lack the necessary incentives and other factors make less appeal on community members resulting in serious loss of them; whether managements of Universities communities or sports associations themselves have developed the corresponding rules and regulations and the management approaches to manage and regulate the development and operation of associations,but most of the existence of rules and regulations are not sound enough and failed to carry out the practical implementation issues, inducing in Chaos community activities. To solve the above problem and situation, the schools should increase efforts to support sports associations, help them develop and improve relevant community management approaches, at the same time increase the guidance of club activities, guide healthy and orderly development of the university sports associations. sports communities themselves should engage in more community activities with special features to enhance the attractiveness of member societies, increasing their external promotional efforts to establish a good image and increase the impact on campus, expand community funding sources, pay attention to the development and training of communities cadres and so on.
