In 2008, financial crisis swept the whole world. It is a big challenge for students who are seeking jobs. In order to improve the skills of job-hunting, there are a growing number of related studies in the field of university career guidance in recent years. Meanwhile, more and more students turn to social training institutions for some similar courses. Career guidance courses developed by universities and social training institutions have common points; while their characteristics differentiate each other accordingly. With the aiming of improving the university career guidance courses, study on instructional model of career guidance is taken by the author as the study object.In the literature review part, the author introduces some theories on career guidance, instruction and study. Then the concept and structure of instructional model is elaborated. The current situation and related studies of instructional model of career guidance are talked.In the body of this essay, the author chooses two case studies of instructional model from universities and social training institutions. The analysis is developed on guiding ideology, teaching objectives, teacher-student relationship, patterns for teaching and learning and instructional evaluation.In Section Five, the author is trying to give some advices and suggestions on this issue after comparing the instructional model in universities and social training institutions.
