Teachers' professionalism has been put forward in current curriculum reform of foundational education in our country. Learning how to apply instructional design principles to instruction is one of techniques that need to be mastered by teachers of foundational education in the development process of teachers' professionalism. However, almost all teachers haven't mastered instructional design principles. The reason is that there hasn't the course of instructional design except Educational Technology Speciality in the instructional program of normal education in our country. But current curriculum reform of foundational education need be guided by instructional design principles. Thus, it is necessary for instructional designers to study instructional design principles that can be applied to instruction by teachers. Not only instruction but also the development of teachers' professionalism can get the advantage from this.In different schools of instructional design, Dick-Carey's Systematic Design of Instruction is welcomed by trainers and people who develop instructional materials because of its characterize of easy use. There still has been lack of systematic study on Dick-Carey's Systematic Design of Instruction except few scholars who have introduced this theory in our country. Because there are not only many differences between America and China, such as educational context, cultural context and applied field of instructional design etc., but also educational research has made great progress and ideas of current curriculum reform of foundational education in our country have been changed much, furthermore, system approach per se has been developed, it is important and urgent to study on systematic instructional design that is consistent with situations of our country.We have used more than one method to explore systematic instructional design theory and model. Based on reviewing the development process of Dick-Carey's Systematic Design of Instruction, analyzing this theory andmodel and comparing different literatures from China and America, according to the situation of our country we mainly explore the definition, content, research method, guideline, theoretical foundations of systematic instructional design and put forward systematic instructional design that is consistent with situations of our country. This instructional design draws its model and principle from a variety of disciplines: learning theory, systems theory, communications theory, and instructional theory. Its major content involves the following component: front-end analysis, clarifying instructional objective, writing evaluation test questions, designing instructional strategy, writing instructional solution, formative evaluation of systematic instructional design, and revising instruction.Systematic theory and model we have constructed can provide guidelines and procedures for cultivating preservice teachers and training inservice teachers. And it also can guide new ideas of curriculum reform of foundational education to implement in classroom instruction. Furthermore, it will make progress of nativization study on instructional design.
