In the background of knowledge economy, this new century needs the well-rounded, comprehensive and innovation-oriented talents who have the capacity of obtaining knowledge and solving problems by themselves. This special need certainly will bring the transformation of educational activities. School education should adapt to the demand and challenge of this transformation and implement quality education actually; meanwhile, we should foster students'capabilities of learning to think, study and take matters into their own hands. Precisely based on such demand, the curriculum reform emerges as the times require.The new curriculum reform has brought a brand new concept. It called for a comprehensive education system reform, among which the evaluation system is a very important component. The new curriculum stresses the need to change the traditional evaluation methods, to establish the new student evaluation system for the purpose of promoting the overall development of students. For the historical discipline, the student's academic evaluation is an important part of student evaluation system; meanwhile, it is also an important link of the implementation of quality education and the new curriculum. The positive meaning of academic evaluation is obviously. However, in the traditional student academic evaluation process, there exists some problems, that is, the means, mainpart, contents and function of the evaluation are too single and simplex, and also including other undesirable tendencies. This aliens to the evaluation which the new curriculum emphasized on. Combined with the great changes of teaching philosophy and methods in the current basic education fields, the traditional academic evaluation model no longer fit the needs of educational development. A reform of academic evaluation system pointing at the students who major in history is inevitable.A major highlight of the new curriculum is the proposal of the "three-dimensional target". However, the biggest disadvantage of traditional student academic assessment is one-sidedness. Therefore, to carry out and implement the concept of "three-dimensional target" into the process of student assessment is equals to have formed the basic idea of history learning evaluation reform under the background of the new curriculum. In order to achieve this idea, we need to change our mind in the process of academic evaluation. According to the nature of course and student characteristics, we should choose varieties of evaluation means flexibility and attach importance to the integration of the quantity and quality. At the same time, the success of the student academic evaluation reform also needs the transformation of the concept of student evaluation, changes in teaching methods, innovation of the assignment of after-school homework and other relevant aspects of the reform as a basic protection.
