Language is the sign of communication, and language is also the important carrier of culture. Language, as well as culture and communication are considered as a whole which can't be separated. Language learning is to communicate, while English teaching is to cultivate the students'capability of intercultural communicative competence. However, English teaching in high schools would emphasize more on grammar and vocabulary rather than introduce cross-culture, which results in students'lacking cross-culture awareness. Therefore, English teaching should not only cultivate basic language skills, but also set this kind of learning and practicing in a big cultural background, making students acquire social communication skills. This paper is made up of an introduction and four chapters.
