Study Of People-centered Consciousness In Tao Xingzhi's Education Thoughts

The key point lying in current basic education curriculum's reform is to transform teachers' teaching concept, teaching methods, and students' learning methods. In classroom teaching, teachers are supposed to cultivate their students to become people with lofty ideals, moral integrity, a good education and a strong sense of discipline, healthy mental quality, and personalized growth by inspiring them to establish new learning method with a "people-centered" education concept. Under the guidance of Tao Xingzhi's education concept, learning modes of overemphasizing reception and learning by rote, and mechanically repetitive training should be transformed; instead, student-centered teaching concept should be established and the ability and habit of students' independent learning and cooperation study must be fostered in order to create talents with innovative thoughts and creative ability. The author's purpose of studying Tao Xingzhi's "people-centered" education theory and practice is to find experience to transform traditional teaching mode to diversify school education development instead of placing undue emphasis on the proportion of students entering schools of a higher level in order to make it available for schools to cultivate sound, noble, contributing people. Based on the analysis of reference materials, this paper illustrates the practical significance of the influence of Xingzhi's "people-centered" education thoughts on current basic education curriculum's reform and serves its reform and development. The result of the study is presented in a theoretical article and benefits the current basic education curriculum's reform and development and new curriculum's reform as well.
