The Third Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has clearly pointed out"To persist in the theory of people oriented and set up the all-round harmonious and continuous development ideas, thus to boost the all sided development of economic society and mankind. Among them,"To persist in the theory of people oriented is the core and essence of scientific development ideas. As the field of social basis and path-finding, education plays an extremely important role in setting up and carrying out scientific development ideas. Education is the cause of mankind, and its purpose is to cultivate people, the process of education is to continue perfection of a person, therefore, for the scientific education development idea, the holders also should regard the theory of people oriented as its core, seriously examine the development history of people oriented, deeply reflect modern philosophical inner appeal in the theory, completely comprehend philosophical basis of the theory in education, also actively consider this theory's value, position and significance in modern education.Based on this point, the research begins the studies of the theory of people oriented and its educational practice problems. Firstly this thesis puts forth origin of studies from related social background and one's own ideas and experiences, and regards"Philosophy of humanism and humanism","Humanism educational thoughts","Humanism in Chinese traditional culture"and"Marxism human all sided development theory"as theoretical basis of this research, meantime, sorts out related documents expounds significance , design and approaches of this research.Conclusions derive from history. If understanding intension of"people-oriented"theory correctly, firstly we should explore development history of"people oriented"theory; also find out its theoretical root. In the second part of this thesis, researcher traces back history of"people oriented"theory. The thesis firstly inspects the history of the theory of"people oriented", and recognizes historical significance of the theory put forth at present in the evolvement process of western humanism and the tracing back period of humanism in Chinese history. On the Basis of researches by predecessors, researcher classifies and unscrambles the basis content of the theory of"people oriented". The theory's essence is base on mankind, and care about living existence of mankind, mankind's value, mankind's dignity as well as their needs of development. What it embodies partly: human as the starting point as well as the destination and pursues human continuous perfection, highlights subjectivity of mankind, what's more, considers living existence and development of mankind.Modern philosophy takes more consideration into problems of mankind; it stresses on individual personality, and pays more attention to the all sided development of mankind, also appeals to mankind's spiritual construction greatly, and carries forwards subjectivity. All these are greatest enlightenment and contribution to education, therefore the theory of people oriented has its deep significance of education. In this part, the thesis mainly states from four aspects: (1) Mankind as objects of being educated is completely results of education. It states the necessity of being educated for people on the basis of recognition of educational essence, existence structure of humanity and cultural essence.(2) Education is essential demand for person's living existence and development. Mankind is existence of culture, and culture is for spreading, education of the theory is necessary pursuit of scholar's subjectivity; Mankind's subjective motility is primitive starting point and deep motive. To obtain living abilities of mankind needs education; education is activities to realize continuing perfection of lives of human beings.(3) Mankind's plasticity and possibility are objectives of education; The possibility of human's"study and development"were existed in Mankind's plasticity ;education help to boost development of people's potential gifts and realization of possibilities. Mankind's non-specialization is supposed evidence of values of the theory of"people oriented". (4) The theory of"people oriented"is necessary pursuit of the essence of education. Education is activities of human beings, the functions of education are for bringing up people, and cultivating the talents. This theory is embodiment and realization of people's personalities in education; it is also the basic purpose of regulation of educational essence. On the basis, researcher expounds intension of the theory of people oriented.Education is activity of bringing up the talents, and it ought to help young people grow healthily depending on the development rules of their bodies and souls. However, owing to the need about which nation selects people stands for the need of development about student's individual ,make the phenomenon of"oriented -exiamination"education is lasting exist, the"human"lost its position in reality. Through combination of quantity study and quality analysis, the thesis induces five kinds of features of this theory of"people oriented"lacked in realistic education: (1) The existing form of subject of mankind be limited; (2) Life's significance wiped out by burden of subjects; (3) lack of the position of personal education: (4) significance of life shadowed by Education, (5) The dull mechanization of process of education. All these reflect students'living conditions in education.The distance between ideal and reality of education development already causes education lose its real essence. This requires us to deeply reflect ourselves based on educational practice; meantime, to seek and analyses reasons why the theory of"people oriented"lack in reality. In the inducing analysis, the thesis systematically expounds and proves reasons in details from these five aspects: (1) attack of humanism education by scientism; (2) drive of school education by utilitarianism; (3) not improvement very well of reality and trend of education far away living society on the whole; (4) restriction of education by ideology; (5) Highlight of social purposes waken the development of individual. To analyze these reasons, the solid theoretical foundation will be laid to build the theory for the practice of"people oriented".In the aspect of operation, the thesis mainly states education significance of the theory of"people oriented"from five aspects: (1)"people oriented"is essential direction for building modern education theories; (2)"people oriented"is establishing final proofs of educational purposes; (3)"people oriented"is choosing basic principles of educational contents and approaches; (4)"people oriented"is pointing to the correct direction for students coming back to life, (5)"people oriented"is providing important yardsticks of judging education whether it is good or not. These significances put forth in this thesis will play a certain part in building the theory of"people oriented"in education reforms and development practice in our country.In the part of conclusion, researcher expresses her eager enthusiasm and strong expectations for education.
