The understanding of teachers's role is a dynamic process. As "the work order of Beijing after-school education institutions" promulgated while teacher basic skills test begin to implement at the same time, the role of teachers in activities of Children's Hall intersting group changed. Teachers of West Children's Hall who in charge of group activities have organized and developed a series of Children's Hall-based activities (including professional practice, social practice and mass outreach activities), and widely acclaimed. This paper is written against this background and the theme is to research the role of teachers during Children's Hall-based activities. By using the qualitative research method, I choose four teachers as my research subjects to explore what kind of roles they play during Children's Hall-based activities in this issue.The present theis adopts sociological role theory to probe into the teacher's role in Children's Hall-based activities through the collecting of authentic materials, with the interaction between teachers and students. For the issues, not only to furher explore the existing problems, as well as the factors that affect the teachers role-playing, but also tries best to affer suggestiongs for solutions. The present study results show that in Children's Hall-based activities, the roles a teacher palys are not single, but rather multiple,which are built up in a network. Decidede by the after-school practical methods, educationg resourse of Children's Hall and the teacher's role definition, the teacher actor planner, guide, evaluator and researcher with the influence of objective and subjective factors. This findings remind us that in teaching practices, teachers are required to improve the quality of teaching, to build up the correct beliefs on children and knowledge, to deepen their understanding of after-school practical methods, to acquired role expectation according to after-school teacher, hence make them set up the correct role edefinition, and can avoid improper or even crash of the teacher's role. Meanwhile,the Children's Hall is required to creat platform, improve and perfect scientific and democratic teaching management system, where the teacher can enjoy the inner dignity and enjoy from beding a teacher.
