Moral education is essential in all kinds of cultivation of school. Model, either moral boundary or its moral behavior is a reflection of political, economic and cultural background in certain historical era, intensively reflecting specific times spirit, which is the orientation of constructing social civilization in specific historical space-times. Moral education is essential in all kinds of cultivation of school. Model education, as an important method and effective way in moral education, promoting college students' moral level and promoting the harmonious development of their body and mind, has important significance. Model education research in China will help us to grasp the core and essence of model education, improve the influence of model education, and enhance the effectiveness of moral education.A logical starting point of this paper is to analyze the concepts of modals, modal education, university moral education and idols. Then the thesis analyze and conclude the development of the model education in China since 1949, that is, the model education in 1950s-1960s,"cultural revolution", early era of reform and opening up, the initial stage of the socialist market economic system and the preliminary stage of the Party's 16th National Congress. These analysis are based on the characters of"Double Hundred"and"Touched by China", especially college students among them. And on this basis, the development of Chinese model education is reviewed and the valuable experience is summed up .Authenticity of the model is the basic premise of the moral education. Moral awareness and emotional experience are corresponded by the authenticity of model. Students can truly feel model on the side. The times of the model is inevitable requirement of the moral education, to reflect the spirit of the age-specific, leading the advanced culture of social and the direction of development of social civilization. The diversity of the model is the development trend of the moral education. More models are needed, along with social progress and development. Everyone can find their own models, learning from them.Through the questionnaire survey of college students in A university, concerning model education, we further understand the irreplaceable role of model education in process of growing of college students. University should be strongly advocated the development of model education, adhere to the"authenticity"of model education to increase the degree of emotional resonance of students; the"diversity"of model education to provide students with moral norms; the"times"of model education to improve the influence of the model and enhance the effectiveness of moral education. University should pay more attention on the propaganda model, making the model to become a"star"in campus, loving and learning models as the fashion of students, playing model educational function into full role, thus to provide a strong reference to enhance the effectiveness of moral education.
