The Study Of Higher Educational Competitiveness In Henan Province

Educational competitiveness has special status and role to regional development, it is an indispensable part of regional comprehensive competitiveness. Proved at home and abroad, competitiveness of higher education and the development of regional economic are closely linked. In the knowledge economy times, competition is increasingly fierce, for the purpose of healthy development of economy and society, a region must attach importance to education, especially the cultivation of advanced knowledge talents, take every effort to improve the competitiveness of regional higher education.From the comparison of higher educational competitiveness in the middle six provinces area, this paper recognized the current situation, advantages and disadvantages of higher educational competitiveness in Henan Province, what's more, put forward some corresponding counter measures, in order to improve our province's competitiveness of higher education. The middle six provinces area includes Shanxi Province, Henan Province, Hubei Province, Hunan province, Jiangxi Province and Anhui Province. Similar geographic location, similar historical culture and the raise of "middle area's rising" and "the great power province in higher education", determine the necessity of the comparison of higher educational competitiveness. This paper is divided into five parts.Based on combing the existing research, the first part defines some related concepts, discusses the background and significance of the topic, research status and methods.The second part analyzes the elements and assessment principle of higher educational competitiveness. According to the design principles, and analyzes the conditions of this research, divides the evaluation index elements of regional higher education competitiveness: education scale, funding, discipline construction ability, talent cultivating ability, scientific research ability, service social ability and so on.The third part compares competitiveness of higher education among the middle six province area. According to the above evaluation index elements, analyzes the development, the status, its own advantages and disadvantages of higher education in Henan Province. The fourth part unscrambles the competitiveness of higher education of Henan province, affirms the achievement of higher education, at the same time, shortages should be pay more attention. And makes an analysis of the reasons for these demerits.The fifth part elaborates on significance and countermeasures of improving Henan's competitiveness of higher education. The effect of higher education to regional economic and political shouldn't be ignored. From comparison, we recognize shortages of Henan higher education competitiveness, and pertinently improve Henan higher education competitiveness.
