The prestige of teachers means teachers establish the prestige and credibiliy in front of the students; it is a spiritual inspiration force which makes the studengts respect and trust. The prestige acturally reflects a good teacher-student relationship. In high school, the prestige of the main subject teachers often be in a state of embarrassment. Although the main subject teachers are important in the education process, the lack of the institutional authority of the class teacher, so they often be ignored by students, and be difficult to achieve the desired effect. Therefore, it is necessary to establish the prestige of the main subject teachers from regular senior school. In view of this, the writer believes that it is necessary to research the prestige of the main subject teacher from regular senior school.With the help of the research methods of materials study, questionaires, interviews and observation, the thesis aims to do a more systematic research to the prestige problems of the main subject teachers from regular senior school on both levels of theoretical and practical aspects, and to understand the necessity and function of establishing the prestige of the main subject teachers from the regular senior school, and to find out the problems.Through the investigation and discovery, the problem have two aspects:subjective and objective. The subjective problem is mainly that the main subject teachers misunderstand or misuse the prestige; and the objective problem is mainly from the defects of the the education system.Based on the investigation in the field, the writer defines some basic conception of prestige, distinguishes some similar conceptions, finds out the elements of prestige, discusses the impacts of every element, and puts forward the corresponding rationalization proposals according to both objective and subjective factors. On objective factors, the writer makes the following recommendations:expand the students'thinking, to avoid only relying on their studies; give a certain class management authority to the main subject teachers; increase the opportunity to the communication between the main subject teachers and students. On subjective factors, the writer brounght forward many measures which focus on the cognition, emotion, will and action of the main subjece teachers in order to help them build the prestige. In order to make up deficiencies in previous studies, greater understand and awareness of the prestige of the main subject teachers from regular senior school, increase the realization and understanding, realize the necessity and function, help the main subject teaches to build the prestige, so that it can play a guidance to construct good relations between teachers and students.
