The prestige of teacher means the reputation that teachers cause instudents’ minds, which is a great power of inspiration. The prestige of teacher actuallyreflects a harmonious teacher-student relationship. It has the important function thathelps teachers to play their role and accomplish the mission of educating studentssuccessfully. Being the new blood of school, it is significant for the novice teacher toestablish their prestige. It can promote the novice teachers’ professional development.Meanwhile, it also has the important impact on the relationship between teachers andstudents. This study mainly aims at how to effectively establish the prestige of noviceteachers in middle schools.Based on the literature review and data collection, the study used the methods ofqualitative research and quantitative research. By investigating the status of theprestige of novice teachers in three middle schools of Huaibei in Anhui province andanalyzing the reasons, the study tries to explore the effective measures for the noviceteachers in middle schools to establish their prestige.The study found out that most novice teachers are lack of prestige. It mainlyembodied in the following two aspects: most of them are lack of the sense of teachingefficacy, and the relationship between novice teachers and students are indistinct. Thereasons are as follows: most novice teachers are short of the effective teaching abilityand the capacity to solve the unexpected situation. Most of them misunderstand theessence of teacher prestige. According to the findings, the paper makes pointedreferences to put forward the following reasonable measures: renew the structure ofthe knowledge to improve the scholar attainment; rethink the teaching practiceprofoundly to improve the ability of teaching; cultivate pedagogical tact to solve the unexpected situation wittily; make clear the teacher’s role to foster a rational sense ofteacher’s love; pay attention to details to form good teaching manner.
