The composition for the college entrance examination has become a focus that people from all aspects are concerned about. It reflects different connotations and different education thoughts in different times. In the paper, it explores how to choose the topic for the composition, and it mainly is based on its development in the past years. The paper also predicts its development in future. Of course, these are based on the problems and disadvantages on how to choose the topic in China. The paper makes a reference to the foreign advantages. The predictions in the paper are scientific and rational.The paper explores hoe to choose topics for the composition for the college examination. It includes four chapters: the first chapter mainly reviews the history of it; the second chapter shows my own views on the problems and disadvantages of it, and the views are based on the differences between its development in China and its development in foreign countries; the third chapter predicts its development scientifically; the last chapter mainly finds out more ways to helping the teacher in middle schools teach. And it gives them much advice on composition teaching.
