Initiative Exploration On Analysis Of Social Network Applying In Subject Assessment

Discipline is the embodiment form of higher education, the cradle of the national strategy for personnel training and the base of the science and technology research. With the rapid development of higher education around the world, people pay more and more attention to the quality of university discipline education. Quality is the lifeline of university discipline education, high-quality discipline education in international competition plays an important role. Discipline evaluation has been the important way of ensuring Discipline education's standing development.Watching all countries'disciplinary evaluation, the evaluation organizations generally set up a index system of disciplinary evaluation , the index system is the basis of disciplinary evaluation,the disciplinary evaluation results is based on the comparison of specific indicators of the attribute data. This paper firstly lists some famous index system of disciplinary evaluation, thinking the existing index system only can sort universities which own the discipline, can not reveal the relationship of the universities in the disciplines, these relations of the universities have a greater role to improve understanding of discipline education. Summarizing disadvantages of present disciplinary evaluation,the paper puts a relational data as the new data and puts the social network analysis as the new method in disciplinary evaluation. This paper relies on the theory of the disciplinary evaluation and the social network analysis, mainly adopting the methods of the literature and the case,to find the integration point of the disciplinary evaluation and the social network analysis method.The paper chooses the university or college with LIS Physician doctor degree in America ALA accredited as research object, gets the teacher background LIS-related data and transforms this relational data into a multi valued matrix. Using the social network software ----UCINET to make relevant analysis .analyzing the social network diagram from the "gather subgroup","network density","degree centrality","medium neutrality "and" The characteristic path length " five aspects and giving the relational verification.Research results show that, the utilization of social network analysis methods to analyze the relations between the universities is a scientific and effective method of analysis .It can not only get academic ranks, but also reveals the relationship between evaluation universities and disciplinary structure, So this can find the discipline problems and take measures to improve discipline education.
