A Research On Building Personal Learning Environments Of College Students In Knowledge Age

Based on analyzing the research status of the learning environment, virtual learning environment and personal learning environments the both at home and abroad, being directed to the learning style of the knowledge age college students, we discuss the importance of the personal learning environment in knowledge age from individual learning, lifelong learning perspective, by analyzing the theoretical foundation and material basis of the building of personal learning environment, as well as on the current shortcomings of the learning environment, and combining the result of the questionnaires, we discuss the problems of the college students' in learning ,and try to give some advice to the problems. We try to build a Personal Learning environment to facilitate personalized learning and to achieve life-long learning. This paper consists of five chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction Based on analyzing the development of the time, person and theory, this chapter proposes the research purpose, contents and describes the research meaning, research ideas, as well as research methodology. Introduces the framework of the paper, and define some related concepts.Chapter 2 Literature Review According to researching problems, this chapter devotes to the literature analysis on the research status of learning environment, virtual learning environment and personal learning environment both at home and abroad.Chapter 3 The foundation of construing PLEs We discuss the material foundation of construction PLEs : pervasive computing, ubiquitous learning and social software, and theoretical foundation: connectivism, social constructivism, personal knowledge management theory and distributed cognitive theory.Chapter 4 The Analysis of PLEs Case and the Questionnaire Analyzing three major cases of PLEs, and summing up their, combining with the questionnaire results,we try to find out the problems about learning environment in knowledge age.Chapter 5 The Strategies of PLEs :the Perspective of the Elements of Learning Environment Designing From the perspective of the elements of learning environment designing, we analyze the basic idea of PLEs building, as well as its function modules, and to achieve on a technical analysis.
