Today, we are in the great revolutionary period when there is a collision and combination of the Occidental culture and the Western culture. Economic globalization, educational internationalization and infomationization of knowledge has great impacts on our country's higher education. So it is inevitable that the comprehensive revolution of higher education should be launched. The rapid change of social culture brings about not only the diversity of ideas but also the diversity of values. The society has more and higher expectations on College teachers. Overload of work, managemental system and the incompleteness of evaluation mechanisms has put heavy stress on College teachers. The proper stress is beneficial to the professional development of College teachers . But when the stress exceeds their limits of endurance, it easily incurs languor. The excessive stress is detrimental to their physical and mental health which results in job burnout and affects negatively the improvement of the students'quality of schools of higher education.Based on the analysis of a large amount of data, one of the reasons for the job burnout of Chinese and Japanese teachers of schools of higher education is found to be their undue stress by analyzing the comparison of the causes of the stress of Chinese and Japanese teachers of College. The stress of the former mostly results from the pressure related to time. The stress of the latter is complicated, concerning many factors such as workload, social and economic status and the construction of the system of university. When the existence of the pressure is inevitable, the solution to the job burnout and the stress of Chinese teachers of schools of higher education should be shown concern for which contributes to their development.The thesis puts forward suggestions and solutions to ameliorating the job burnout and the stress of Chinese College teachers from the following aspects in terms of the three levels including individuals, College and society.The teachers'social and economic status should be enhanced and the good atmosphere of respecting the teachers and stressing the importance of education should be created attracting more talented people to choose being teachers. The construction of the system of College should be strengthened. The evaluation system of schools of higher education should be improved and the direction,inspiration and improvement of the system should be brought into full play. The professional process of schools of higher education should be accelerated. The inspirational mechanism should be perfected, which stimulates their initiative and enthusiasm for their work.The supporting system of the society should be constructed from the three aspects including families, schools of higher education and society. Societies and families should take their teaching responsibilities, support the teaching jobs of schools of higher education and cooperate with the teachers so as to reduce their burden.The education of the mental health of the College teachers should be intensified, which College should make a part of the whole of College. College have responsibilities and obligations to highlight the tutoring of the mental health of the College teachers and help those teachers with psychological problems shake off the disturbance of negative thoughts and retain their mental health.The teachers'subjective cognition should be adjusted and their resistance of pressure should be heightened. The same thing will produce different emotional response and psychological experience. The teachers should learn to have a proper understanding their job burnout by confronting with pressure courageously and taking duly rest and adjusting the state of their mind and body.
