With the increasingly rapid social development and intense competition in the21st century, the overall demands for talents’quality,specially the psychological quality are improved. As the step of the western development strategy speeds up,regional economic development in xinjiang autonomy also cannot do without the talents cultivation, as a special group in colleges and universities in xinjiang, ethnic minority college students shoulder the heavy burden of stability and unity, and their mental health also draws extensive attention from the society and region. They both have psychological perplexity similar to Han students and different psychological problems due to cultural differences.Throughout the process of psychological health education of ethnic minorities, the purpose of new harmony is achieved by guiding minority students to adapt their psychological state to the new social environment and cultural atmosphere. The article Discusses and analyzes xinjiang minority nationality college students psychological problems and causes in the different culture, points out how the difference objectively existing in language, emotion, custom and cultural concepts affects college students’life and study, interpersonal communication and psychological health, and career development. And at the same time we must start from the ethnic college students’psychological characteristics, understand their inner confusion, adopt acceptable rules in the aspects of carrying out mental health education and teaching and formulate effective measures to help ethnic minority college students better into the new culture atmosphere, and promote the individual physical and mental harmonious development.The article is mainly divided into three parts, the first part expounds the connotation of college students’ mental health, standards, and the importance of college students’ mental health and analyzes the symptoms and negative effects of xinjiang minority college students’ mental problems.The second part finds out and analyze the cause of the many psychological problems and on the basis of analyzing the problems and reasons.The third part puts forward five education countermeasure, first: attach great importance to the minority college students’ psychological health education, correctly grasp the relationship between the scientific psychological health education, the localization and nationalization; Second:create a multicultural education environment to improve the identity of the minority college students in school education; third: strengthen the traditional culture and education of xinjiang minority nationality;fouth: combine the education of psychological health education with ethnic culture to form the correct cultural values;fifth:adopt diversified way of mental health services to build a mental health education mode adaptive to the new orientation and Strengthen the construction of mental health education teachers, developing multicultural mental health services.
