David Harvey is one of the most important ideologists in contemporary world, and his critical theory which named uneven geographical development imagines the society as some spatial form, and that is meaningful to us.For the reason of understanding the changing experiences in the world, David Harvey began to enquiry about the problem of city, and his standpoint turned to Marxism, then he went further to other social issues. In the theory of uneven geographical development, Harvey concentrated at the conception of space which has heavily impressed by Karl Marx and Henri Lefebvre, he identified a tripartite division of space:absolute space, relative space, relational space. Then Harvey found that the social space run in different ways while it was under capitalism, so he analyzed the logics of technology, of capital, of politics, and of culture. He pronounced that the capitalism survived according reshaping the spatial form. Besides, Harvey argued three kinds of spatial scales:city, body, and globalization, In the spatial theory, space was not only the object of study, but also the methodology. That's why Harvey then appealled for practicing social justice in the social space. However, we should know that Harvey made some mistake about China while he provoked thought.
