With the steady improvement of the basic education reform,new teaching methods are coming up under the New Curriculum and New Conception, among which, the Situation Teaching Method has received extensive attention of educational staff. This article focus on The Main Elements of Fuel---Nature of Carbon Dioxide. It is the third period of the Section 2, CHAPTERâ…¥. (Volume 1, Grade 9, Science and Education Edition). Based on the teaching material, the article deals with the study of the Situation Teaching Method. It aims at offering teachers some reference with such Action-Research method., After studying the practical teaching activities in classroom and lasting reflection, we will achieve the goal of building harmonious classes for teaching and learning.According to the New Curriculum requirements of chemistry teaching and the junior middle school students'psychological characteristic, the full text proposes the exploration and research of Situation Teaching Method by discussing "Nature of Carbon Dioxide " and using others'experience as reference. It is fully proved that Situation Teaching Method can not only arouse the students'interest and activeness effectively but also improve the learning ability and achievement. Some effective strategies and principles of situational teaching have been epurated after using Action-Research Method of "design-reflection-redesign-further reflection" and the Summary of the case studies.
